What number should be entered as the Registration Number for a non‑individual ownership on the Press Sewa Portal?

Sign-up / Log-in on the Press Sewa Portal and Create Owner / Publisher Profile

For entities registered as companies in India, the Corporate Identification Number (CIN) - a unique 21‑digit identification code issued by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) upon registration - should be entered.

The CIN can be located on the Certificate of Incorporation issued to the company, or you may search on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) portal.

If the organization does not possess a CIN, they may alternatively enter their:

• PAN (Permanent Account Number), or
• TAN (Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number).
