What should I do if my application is rejected by the PRGI?

New Registration Application on Press Sewa Portal

As per Rule 7(b) of the Press and Registration of Periodicals (PRP) Rules, 2024, if the Press Registrar General, after examining the application, considering the comments (if any) from the Specified Authority on the Press Sewa Portal, and reviewing the guidelines for title admissibility, determines that:

• the application continues to remain deficient; or
• the deficiencies have not been resolved by the Publisher within the prescribed timeframe,

an online communication stating the reasons for non-grant of registration will be issued to the Publisher.In such cases, the Publisher will be provided with 10 days from the date of communication to submit an online reply on the Press Sewa Portal to appeal against the rejection.
